The Heritage Guild held
its second annual "Afternoon of Antique Appraisals" on
Sunday, October 30. Three locally and nationally known
appraisers were available to evaluate glass, china,
books, furniture, dolls, and jewelry to tell owners if
their items had cash value in addition to sentimental
value.

A great turnout for the event! Waiting to have their
items appraised,
people enjoyed viewing and
learning about others' items.

Gary Gibson, local jewelry dealer and appraiser with a
shop in Antique Land
on the corner of Central
Expressway and Plano Parkway, looks at a ring
for a couple who brought
multiple jewelry items for appraisal.
They were surprised and
happy at the estimated value of their items.

Tom Keener, an expert in appraising many items,
including books, is
pleased to see this book
and tells the audience they are in for a treat!

A drawing from a sketchbook of Charles Dickens'
